Fiji

The Fiji archipelago has more than 300 coral and volcanic islands. Today, Fiji is a tropical wonderland that attracts tourists from all over the world. However, many years ago it was known as The Cannibal Isles and sailors steered clear of the area due to the treacherous waters and aggressive warriors.

The tropical climate makes it a perfect destination for tourists because it always has great weather. It is located in the South Pacific and is literally the crossroads of the South Pacific. There have been some past political problems, but today the island is peaceful and stable allowing tourists to enjoy their time on the island without a care in the world.

Fijians are quite friendly and welcome tourists with open arms. Many surfers flock to Fiji to catch the huge waves all hoping to catch the next Cloud Breaker, which was a six meter wave!

Tourists will enjoy the many options on the island from cruises around the islands on yachts to guided hikes through the mountains. The main tourist destination is Tavarua and it offers more than 50 hotels and resorts and is perfectly located for scuba diving and snorkeling. Fiji truly is a vacationer’s paradise!
